We are very pleased to announce that Roberto Ricci will coming coming to UK and will be visiting 2XS and X-train and he will be launching 2012 new RRD product at WWWC -West Wittering – the RRD EZZY test centre.

Roberto will have the new 2012 RRD Freestyle Waves, Contest Quad Wave, The New RRD Super SUP, and the new 2012 RRD Kites THE religion 2-New, Obsession Pro and Obsession MKV -RRD kite wave boards-the new 10 knots LTD.

Roberto will be on hand to answer any questions and will introduce the new RRD toys.

Severne at Oceansource

New kids on the block – Vandal Sails – have been making big waves on the continent, with the Riot wave sail being herald as the best four batten wave sail around in 2010. Now, it’s time for the UK market to have a taste of what the brand has to offer. BSA Weymouth 2010

The Official Test Centre (OTC) is very pleased to announce that Jaffa Oranges are the headline sponsor of the BSA event in Weymouth on the weekend of May 21st. Hosted by Tushingham and The OTC, the Jaffa event aims to be a ‘mass participation’ spectacle with FREE taster sessions in windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding and open-water swimming all taking place throughout the same weekend.

There will be a barbeque lit during the Saturday where those taking part can buy themselves lunch to replenish their energy levels before the afternoon’s activities. There will then be a party in the Academy’s Spinnakers Bar in the evening, with live music and a DJ. The facilities on site at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) are second to none, and make the perfect site for an event that is not to be missed. And what is more, entry to the BSA event is completely FREE for girls … so now there is really no excuse now for the fairer sex to come along and get involved!

To get to The OTC, head to Weymouth and once through the town, keep following signs for Portland. Go across the causeway to Portland, and at the first roundabout turn left into Osprey Quay. The WPNSA is the first building on the left, and there is plenty of car parking and camping available within the grounds of the Academy – check their website for details.

Official Test Centre

It has taken a lot longer than they had hoped, but at last The Official Test Centre (OTC) are pleased to announce that their UK centre will officially be open for business on Saturday 31st July. World Champion RS:X sailor and Weymouth local Nick Dempsey will be on hand to cut the ribbon, and open the doors to the centre for the first time. There will be free windsurfing taster sessions (pre-booking essential – get in touch with OTC), discounted equipment rental for the day and a BBQ put on by The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

The OTC is based around the unique concept of stocking the latest boards and sails of all the major brands so that their clients can test and compare them for themselves. With all the feedback they have received to date from their first centre in Tenerife, they are confident that the system works and that it offers a vital extra resource in the windsurfing world. The aim of the UK centre is to go one step further by providing a full, progressive centre with access to windsurfing for all, from the complete beginner to the pro windsurfer. In essence the aim is to provide a social hub in the south, helping to showcase windsurfing … and what better venue to do this than at the 2012 Olympic sailing venue. 2XS RRD EZZY TEST CENTRE WEST WITTERING

If you fancy turning up to the perfect UK beach set-up with all the facilities – rescue, beach webcam, broadband, showers, changing rooms, great coaching and the full rental deal (just like you find when you go abroad) – the 2XS RRD EZZY Test Centre in West Wittering is the place to come.

2XS just had some of the new 2010 RRD and Ezzy gear delivered to their windsurf test centre on the beach at West Wittering. New RRDs in Ltd construction: Freestyle-Waves, X-Rides, Wave Twins, Cults, Evo and Easy Riders. They also a have a full stack of RRD kitesurf gear. Plus kids’ kit from Fanatic and Hot Sails Maui and some 2010 Fanatic New Wave single-fins on test. On the sail front there are 3.7 to 6.3 Wave Panther 2s and 7.5 Ezzy Freerides. The privately owned beach is very rural with a sandy beach, grassy car park, and café – great for all the family with superb condition from waves at high tide to flat water chest-deep lagoons at low tide. Car parking is cheaper than a day in Poole or at most town centre car parks.
