For the last 15 years, Moonbeach has consistently offered reliable wind and fantastic conditions. Sail straight from the beach! No wind shadows, no wobble.. just great, reliable and uncrowded conditions.

Alongside this add some of the best coaching available, a whole plethora of new kit and you’ve got an idyllic windsurfing location.

Epic conditions

There are gentle early morning and late afternoon breezes perfect for beginners and strong cross-shore winds between 10am and 4pm for the intermediate and advanced. Our uncrowded water allows you to take full advantage of the variety of conditions that Moonbeach offers.

Equipment

For 2012 we’re enhancing the we do things… Firstly, we’re merging our hugely successful X-Rack program with our standard kit to provide a combined kit hire program. All our sails up to 7.5 are still rigged on RDM’s, with only the biggest few on SDM for this season.

We currently updating our kit for 2012, and with the orders placed for RRD’s ever-popular FreeStyleWaves, and new sails from Ezzy, RRD and Tushingham everything is looking good for the start of the season on March 1st.

Superior Coaching

Included, free of charge for 2012, all of our coaching courses are now included in our hire packages. So you still get our highly effective, tailor made coaching courses included with all our kit hire packages for free!

Alongside our beginner and intermediate packages we will continue to provide our ‘Progression Sessions’ and ’1-2-1′ options, both of which offer unrivaled instruction and a rapid way to improve your windsurfing ability. Small groups and video feedback allow for rapid improvement.

The windsurfing centre is only meters from the water, and is the focal point of our whole operation. Everything’s here, reception, the (still to be named) bar, our fully stocked shop with loads of cool stuff, and plenty of friendly staff to assist with your holiday.

A great place to hang out and watch the on the water action, everyone is welcome on the deck to take in the tranquil nature of Moonbeach and its unique location.

Whether you’re resting up after a hectic day on the water, or gearing up for your next yoga session, there is space for everyone.

Phil Richards and Danielle Lucas say cheese!

Out on the Sinai Peninsula, while everyone has been enjoying the windy weather at home Danielle Lucas and Phil Richards from Getwindsurfing.com have been busy finalising the dates for their coaching weeks in windy Egypt later this year.

They will be offering coaching weeks in Dahab, El Tur and Moon Beach, during September, and also two weeks in Dahab during December.

Dahab – 28th August to 4th September Intermediates to Advanced, Carving and Freestyle.

El Tur – 4-11th September Intermediates to Advanced, Carving, Freestyle, Bump and Jump/Waves.

A coaching week with Phil and Danielle will involve five full days’ coaching, with video and photo coaching where suitable.  They will have a maximum of 12 people so 6:1 student:coach ratio to help you get the best from your sessions. Their local knowledge means they know how to make the most of each location for your learning needs, as well as being able, in the evenings, to offer various options for entertainment if you wish.

Get Windsurfing Sinai road trip!

As you have seen in recent press Egypt is the place to go now, with centres quieter than ever and so loads of space on the water to enjoy the wind, which is currently full power!  With this in mind and the recent announcement of the Dahab Festival in May, Danielle Lucas and Phil Richards, www.getwindsurfing.com, have organised a Sinai Road Trip, to incorporate 4 of the great locations on offer over there, as well as the joining the festival along the way.

So what does it entail?

A 3-week trip which can be joined along the way if you can’t do it all, 3rd May – 24th May 2011

Moon Beach

Fancy a week in turquoise waters and warm winds in a super-relaxing atmosphere mixed with professional coaching for 5 days and even a spot of yoga? Look no further than Moon Beach this March 5-12 where you can have all of the above for only £599!

Join ex-Oceansource centre managers Phil Richards and Danielle Lucas for a week at the newly refurbished Moon Beach centre for a less intensive clinic to look at anything from harness use to gybing and even having a go at jumping and freestyle! As always, vIdeo coaching will be included where beneficial to give you the best feedback possible on and off the water.

During this clinic, coaching will be provided for 2.5-3 hrs a day, for 5 days. If abilities are very varied, you will be taught in groups accordingly so everyone gets the most out of the week. The rest of the day students can free-sail as much or as little as they like!

Other activities:

• Local trips for sundowners
• Bonfire night
• Cairo Pyramids.
