I was injured for most of jan/feb so it was good to finally get back on the water before going home.

As this kind of sport, soccer is played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. The object of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins/makes a victory/gets a success/makes a triumph. Of course, both of the two teams should follow/observe/comply with the rules of football.
There is just simple/plain/ordinary/brief/short information, which may be not enough/adequate/sufficient. If you are interested in/are keen on/have faith for/love to play football, it is necessary/essential/important/vital/significant to have a clear understanding of this kind of sport, namely soccer.
Soccer is such a game that has strict/severe/rigorous rules and both of the teams should follow them. More and more people pay attention to/focus on/place a large emphasis on this game because they can get/gain/obtain/acquire great joys and pleasures from it.
