Phil and Danielle from GetWindsurfing introduce their Sunday Sessions, a great way to learn and sail with others at Hayling Island this year.
From April to October (excluding August) Phil and Danielle will be at Hayling Island the first Sunday of every month, making the most of water time in the UK. Everyone is welcome to join in and it’s a great way to get on the water more often knowing there will be others to sail with.
Phil and Danielle will be there to provide company, inspiration, tuition and also photography. Whether you want to freesail with others, gain some quality coaching to improve on your windsurf skills or simply need the push to get on the water regularly, this is the perfect opportunity!
The idea is to form a club like session, so people can get together, meet others, have lessons if they want and just enjoy coastal windsurfing in the UK. It’s especially great for intermediate windsurfers who need practise time but perhaps need the motivation and encouragement to get on the water in the UK with others.
What kind of forecast will they be there for?
All conditions! When it’s windy they will offer group coaching sessions to work on skills such as waterstarts, carve gybes and so much more.
If the wind is light it’s a great chance to tune up those turns ready for windier times, learn some freestyle tricks to show off with, or even bring along someone new to the sport.
If there is no wind, Phil and Danielle can introduce you to SUPing, go for a paddle with you and enjoy the scenery of Hayling Island.
They will also be available to provide photography services, capturing quality windsurfing shots, or even lifestyle and family photos at the beach.
How can I get involved?
Email email@example.com or find them on Facebook and contact them to let them know you are interested! They will then keep in touch to let you know each month what times they are headed to the beach and where exactly, wind and tide dependant. They will also keep you up to date with group sessions that may be running, and you can book with them any private coaching or photography sessions before you get to the beach!
Even if you don’t want coaching but fancy the company on the water, get in touch so they can then keep you informed where they will be and when so you can go along and freesail.
