SUNSAIL CUTS PEAK HOLIDAY PRICES

SUNSAIL RESPONDS TO CALLS TO CUT PEAK HOLIDAY PRICES

In a response to the Consumer Affairs Minister Gerry Sutcliffe’s call to tour operators that parents are being penalised by high charges during school holidays, Sunsail has taken action by offering free children’s places at its Club Javelin in Turkey in both July and August.

Additionally, the company has reduced its brochure price for adults by 12½% and for other children by nearly 25% over the same period at its watersports and beach Club Javelin in Turkey.

For five weeks from 24th July 2004 at the very height of the holiday season, Sunsail will be saving parents at least £1030 on the cost of their holiday at its Club Javelin by offering a free place for a child if that child shares a room with its parents.

The price* includes return airfares, transfers, half board accommodation, the free use of the extensive range of watersports equipment and free sailing tuition. Any parent taking up this offer will also benefit from the free children’s clubs that Sunsail runs at Club Javelin and all its seven watersports beach clubs in Greece, Turkey and the Caribbean.

“We believe that this gesture by Sunsail will help to discourage parents taking their children out of school by seeking to achieve a cheaper holiday outside the high season, something the Government has strong views on,” said Matt West, Managing Director for Sunsail Europe.

*Prices for a one week holiday at Sunsail’s Club Javelin for departures from 24th July 2004 until and including 21st August 2004. Offer applies to one child under 12 years per family booking.
Adults £999 pp, children £775pp, extra child in shared room £545pp.
