KING OF THE CAPE – ONE MONTH TO GO

WHAT: 2003 Verizon Wireless King of the Cape Freestyle Pro-Am
WHERE: West Dennis Beach, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
WHEN: June 6-8, 2003
WWW: http://www.kingofthecape.com

2003 Verizon Wireless King of the Cape Freestyle Pro-Am will be
returning for its 5th year to West Dennis Beach, Cape Cod in June 2003
with a cash purse of $15,000. This annual event showcases the best pro,
amateur, and novice freestyle talent from the US and around the world,
and is soon to be recognized on the PWA Tour 2003 calendar. Title
Sponsor Verizon Wireless has signed on again for another year, as well
as Bic Sport North America, distributors of AHD, Gaastra, Fiberspar and
Red Bull.
What makes King of the Cape unique is that it caters to both the
seasoned pro, as well as the average weekend warrior who dabbles in
freestyle. Whether you are competing or watching, the fun factor will be
set to the max the whole weekend. And in keeping the fun flowing for
2003, the event will return to its roots by using the round robin event
format to help increase sailing time on the water. The double
elimination ladders used last year reduced sailing time in half. This
year the time on the water will be maximized for all participants.

Another important ingredient in the success of this event is ensuring
sailors (and spectators) have as much fun on the water as they do off.
To this effect, we have Red Bull hosting parties for all during the
festival weekend, and the continued support of our title sponsor Verizon
Wireless and premier sponsor Paul Mitchell Sports.

The pre-registration period for the 2003 Verizon Wireless King of the
Cape Freestyle Pro-Am, has officially begun. This pre-registration
period will expire, May 30, 2003. SAVE MONEY NOW, by registering for
the event. This is NOT just for competitors, but for ANYONE planning on
attending the parties and buying t-shirts. Everything is at a discount
right now. You can access the online registration page directly at:
http://www.kingofthecape.com/registration.asp. You have the option to

So, whether you are planning on competing, attending WindFest or Kids
Camp, or just partying the weekend away with everyone, buy your party
passes and t-shirts now at a substantial discount and don’t miss out on
one of the biggest events windsurfing party in New England. In an effort
to bring our participants, sponsors, and spectators the best deals
possible to attend the 2003 Verizon Wireless King of the Cape and
WindFest, we have secured discounted lodging rates from two hotel
sponsors. It was important for us to negotiate these prices as it is a
tourist town during the tourist season and rooms can be scarce. Please
do book your accommodations as soon as possible to insure that you get
the discounted rates and that there is inventory left for your stay.
These rates are good for ANYONE coming to WindFest, Nevin Sayre Kids
Camp, or the King of the Cape.
