THE GUL BRITISH CUP – AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY 24TH – 26TH AUGUST 2002
The Gul British Cup is happening on Fistral Beach in Newquay, the South West’s
premier surfing venue. Gul has put up £1000 prize money making this the
largest pot for any BSA contest.
Come and watch the best of the British guys and girls ripping up the surf.
The categories for the surfing event this year are Open, Junior, Longboard
and Bodyboard. The winner of the Open will also walk away with the Gul British
On Saturday 24th August, come along to the Gul British Cup Party at the Sringbok,
Gul International in partnership with the British Surfing Association are hosting
a Women’s Surfing Clinic at Fistral Beach on Sunday 25th August 2002. Heading
the coaching staff will be Australian surfer and the 2001 World Number 3 Neridah
Falconer. Neridah a member of the Gul International Surf Team will be taking
time out during the European Tour to attend the Gul British Cup at Fistral Beach.
Neridah recently secured a fifth place finish in the prestigious Mr Price Pro
held in Durban, South Africa.
