NWF has launched a new competition for 2013… Stand By Your Van.

This gives everyone the opportunity to put forward their vehicle for a best in show type competition. So, who’s entered? And who has the best van and why?

Whilst this isn’t the official contest, we would like to think that the NWF organisers will take note of your votes!

Take a look at our favourite entrants below, also great for some ‘vanspiration’ and have your vote…

The JSUP mobile…

“You can’t miss Jsup mobile …yellow peril… iconic van in SUP world! More famous than the Sooty n Sweep van and the Scooby bus. The Jsup number plate’s worth more the van!”

The Todds Mobile

“I use my Transporter T5 mainly for work and play and to make the journey from Swindon Wiltshire to Hayling Island which is my main windsurf spot. It was purchased from new from a main dealer back in 2007 and had some extras fitted from new, 19″ Borbet Alloy wheels with 245 45 19 van rated tyres, chrome side steps, fully colour coded bumpers and front spoiler, rear spoiler to pimp my ride up a bit.”

‘The Van’ or Josie on a good day

“She’s taken on the name of my current girlfriend! Josie. But usually is affectionately known as ‘The Van’.

Big Blue

“We bought Big Blue because her petite dimensions fitted our parking space, she cost the same new as a Vee Dub Transporter with 90,000 miles on the clock and came with a 5 year warranty plus lot of extras as standard, such as electric mirrors, a bulkhead to stop your kit joining you in the front seat and aircon in the cab, so she doesn’t feel like driving around in a greenhouse. She also has a 10 year anti-perforation bodywork warranty, which is quite a consideration when you fill her full of sea water every weekend! She is quite a rare breed – you don’t see many iLoads around – and she is very pretty. She attracts lots of admiring glances! She handles like a car and has a low-rev engine, which gives excellent fuel economy.”

Which is your favourite van?
